The PK80 daybed by Poul Kjaerholm draws inspiration from a couch that Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich designed in the 1930’s. Mies van de Rohe was Kjaerholm’s idol. Like many of his designs, the daybed is deceptively simple and is based upon his ethos of expressing the personality of the chosen materials. This particular example comes in its beautiful original cognac leather, and does show some patina.
