White lacquered steel frame, wooden "shoes”, chromed steel top with flag halyard.

Model presented at The Arts & Crafts Spring Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark in 1950. This piece is one of the 1st editions of 'The Flag Halyard Chair', as the feet are wooden. Later models went on to have black rubber discs for feet. This piece is also entirely original.

The shape of the chair was first dreamt up by Wegner, in the 1950s, whilst he with his family on a beach in Denmark, where he sculpted the ideal seating position into the sand. He then went on to develop this into the lounge chair we see today.
