Dining table designed by Erik Wörts for Wörts,
Denmark, 1950s.

Brazilian rosewood.

This elegant dining table in Brazilian rosewood is round in its unextended form and becomes a large oval that easily seats twelve people once extended. The design is simple yet exquisitely made. It belongs to a dining room suite that includes twelve matching dining chairs, a two-piece sideboard, and a bar trolley designed on commission for a private Danish home in the 1950s — Erik Wörts was a prolific Danish furniture designer and cabinet maker.
