Modernity’s fall agenda – 2017
- We are very pleased to be part of these fine fairs, which allow us to meet existing and new clients, says director Andrew Duncanson.
Modernity has participated in over 50 fairs and exhibitions since it opened in 1998, mainly as a way to reach international collectors and museums, which do not have the possibility to visit the gallery in Stockholm.
- We started by only exhibiting at one international fair and have then been accepted to more and more fairs as the gallery has grown. We like meeting our clients at the fairs, explains Andrew Duncanson.
Modernity's international presence in the fall:
PAD London – 2-8 October, 2017
2017 will mark Modernity’s sixth participation to the prestigious Pavilion Art & Design fair at Berkeley Square in London. PAD London is held during the week when everything hots up in the London art world's calendar. International art collectors from around the globe gather in the city attracted by Frieze London and Frieze Masters, while design fans head to Mayfair to visit the PAD.
The Salon Art + Design New York – 9-13 November, 2017
The Park Avenue Armory will once again welcome The Salon: Art+Design fair in the Fall, in which Modernity has been taking part since 2012. Organized by Sanford Smith, a show producer and manager, who has been creating important art and design events for over 30 years, The Salon: Art + Design features top international dealers in fine art and modern and historical design. The event was recently called by The New York Times “A Museum in the Making at the Park Avenue Armory”.

TEFAF Maastricht – March 9-18, 2018
Universally regarded as the world’s most influential art fair, setting the standard for excellence in the art and antiques market, TEFAF Maastricht is an unmissable event for collectors and museum representatives from across the globe. The 2018 edition will mark Modernity’s second participation to this prestigious event.
TEFAF New York Spring – May 4-8, 2018
The Spring edition of TEFAF New York focuses on prime modern and contemporary art and design from the 20th century up through today. Modernity will be among the exhibitors at the debut of The European Fine Arts Fair’s counterpart across the Atlantic, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York.
Masterpiece London – June 28-July 4, 2018
Modernity will reiterate its participation to the Masterpiece fair in London for the third time in a row. World-renowned fair-builder Stabilo is a founding partner in the project and constructs a temporary, highly innovative, bespoke structure to house the event on the site of the former Chelsea Barracks. Masterpiece London is one of the most exquisite art, design and antiques fair held in the British capital.
