A busy year gone, a busy year ahead
- We very much appreciate to see our clients at the fairs, and enjoy doing the fairs. It is exciting and demanding, says director Andrew Duncanson.
In November Modernity finished the sixth fair during 2018. We have also celebrated our 20th anniversary, as well as three different exhibitions in Stockholm. The gallery is now preparing for the hectic coming year.
- The number of fairs has grown over the years. Many years ago we started participating at a local fair in Stockholm, and our first international fair was in New York in 2006. To exhibit at fairs is both costly and very hard work, but we appreciate to see old clients and to meet new, says Andrew Duncanson.
As a start, we are very much looking forward to take Modernity farther than it’s ever been before. We have had enthusiastic and returning clients based on the US West coast for many years, both collectors and museums, and we are glad to come closer to them by exhibiting at the San Francisco FOG fair.

Shortly upon our return, we will be heading to Geneva for a second edition of the Pavilion of Art and Design on the grounds of the prestigious Artgenève fair.

The much anticipated TEFAF Maastricht will be next on our agenda, and we are particularly proud to be among the 275 dealers exhibiting at the world’s grandest art, design and antiques fair.
TEFAF Maastricht – The Netherlands - March 14 to 24, 2019
Modernity will then be heading back to the United States for the prestigious TEFAF New York Spring at the Park Avenue Armory, focused on modern, contemporary art and design.

Masterpiece London is the must-attend event of the capital’s summer art season. Housed beneath a tented temporary structure in the grounds of The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Masterpiece showcases the best art, design, jewellery and antiques available on the market. We will once again be amongst the 160 dealers exhibiting at this unmissable show.

After the summer, it will be time for London again, but in Mayfair this time, Berkeley square, where PAD will raise its famous white tent for a frenetic and wonderfully attended art and design fair.

The Salon in New York will conclude the busiest year Modernity has ever had in terms of fair participation. Seven of the most preeminent international fairs, which will allow us to reach out and meet our clients, collectors, museum curators worldwide.
