Pair of sidetables model 41 designed by Severin Hansen for Haslev Mobelsnedkeri,
Denmark, 1950s.

Rosewood.

Severin Hansen's model 41 from the 1950s has two practical surfaces and is one of his most distinctive designs; it was produced by the renowned Danish manufacturer Haslev Mobelsnedkeri. The design simplicity and angular silhouette make these tables an interesting midcentury collectible. Their miter joints, where the legs meet the apron, are typical for Hansen.

Little is known about Severin Hansen's life, and yet his designs show exceptional craftsmanship and use of materials. Almost all of his table designs were realised in rosewood, one of the rarest and most beautiful woods.
