Erich (1898–1972) and Ingrid Triller (1905–1982) were a husband-and-wife team of ceramists renowned for their elegant stoneware creations. They met during their art studies in Germany between 1929 and 1934. In 1935, they established a ceramics workshop in Tobo, Sweden, where they specialized in elegant, precise stoneware pieces inspired by the Bauhaus movement: functionality, simplicity, and craftsmanship combined with modern production methods and avoiding unnecessary ornamentation.
Their studio in Tobo became a hub for producing high-quality ceramics, and their works are now part of numerous museum collections in Sweden. The Trillers' legacy continues to influence contemporary ceramic art, reflecting a harmonious blend of functional design and artistic expression.
