Set of six dining chairs model 526 designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn,
Sweden, 1934.

Mahogany and rattan with seats upholstered in Frank’s "Anakreon" fabric.

Marked "BODAFORS".

The colonial-style combination of mahogany and rattan makes this Josef Frank chair model 526 particularly interesting. It is very rare to find a set like this with several chairs. Josef Frank also designed the colourful “Anakreon” textile pattern of the seat. It is based on a 3500-year-old fresco from a palace on Crete and named after the Greek poet, Anacreon, famous for his love songs and drinking songs.
