Side table designed by Yngve Ekström for Swedese,
Sweden, 1950’s.

Teak and brass.

This small table was made to accompany Yngve Ekström’s famous “Lamino” chair. The elegant brass inlays function as bolts connecting the bent plywood legs to the top. Combined with the soft triangular top, the angles of the lacquered legs make this table an interesting Scandinavian design collectible.

Yngve Ekström was a Swedish furniture designer, woodcarver, sculptor, and architect and an important figure in the evolution of the Scandinavian Modernism movement.
