Sideboard designed by Erik Wørts for Wørts,
Denmark. 1950s.

Brazilian rosewood.

Stamped.

This sizeable Brazilian rosewood sideboard has clean lines and provides ample storage. There are three compartments to the body, each with a sliding door and multiple pullout drawers for different usage. The pattern created by the book-matched rosewood veneer on the top, front, and sides is exceptional — the design is simple yet exquisitely made.

This specific sideboard belongs to a dining room suite that includes a second wall-mounted, “floating” sideboard, a dining table, twelve dining chairs, and a bar trolley designed on commission for a private Danish home in the 1950s. Erik Wørts was a prolific Danish furniture designer and cabinet maker.
