Table lamp B-075, designed by Eje Ahlgren for Bergboms,
Sweden. 1960´s.

Polished brass.
Stamped ‘Bergbom B-075 B-075’

With its bulbous shape, this playful lamp’s intriguing proportions make it a unique Scandinavian collectable. Model B-075 is very practical — it has straightforward components and a little rod at the top of the shade for adjusting the lighting angle. This model is part of a series of floor and wall lamps with the same shade size.

Eje Ahlgren was one of the main designers for the modernist Swedish lighting manufacturer Bergboms during the 1950s and 60s. Bergboms was a prominent lighting manufacturer in Sweden; in the 1940s, they had famously produced the original “Grasshopper” floor lamp by Greta Magnusson Grossman.
