Description:

Designed in the 1930s-1940s and beautifully crafted in walnut and rattan, the shape of these seating pieces is particularly striking. The elongated back legs meet the rounded armrests, creating a unique angle. The design is well-constructed and sturdy with stretchers between the legs and additional support behind the backrests’ rattan. Frits Schlegel (1896 - 1965) was a Functionalist Danish architect active during the transition from traditional craftsmanship to industrialised construction methods. His furniture designs are internationally celebrated.
