Pewter and brass fleurons.
This vase features a conical form, characteristic of the refined yet functional aesthetic embraced by Svenskt Tenn during the early modern period. Crafted in pewter, the body is divided by two horizontal relief bands, segmenting the surface into three distinct tiers. Each section is punctuated by a centrally placed brass fleuron, adding a subtle decorative rhythm to the otherwise pared-down silhouette.
Svenskt Tenn is a renowned Swedish interior design company founded in 1924 by Estrid Ericson. Celebrated for its distinctive fusion of bold modernism and fine craftsmanship, the company gained international recognition through its long-standing collaboration with Austrian architect Josef Frank, who joined in the 1930s. Together, they developed a colorful and expressive design language that came to define Swedish modernism.
